My Two Lives

Transsexual people find their way in normal working life without standing out. They want to live undisturbed in their new role in the other gender. Valerie Wilms was the first transsexual woman to enter the Bundestag in the 2009 federal election without activist fanfare. For two legislative periods until 2017, she was active there as a member of parliament in the Green Party. For this, she did not have to reveal her otherness, and she did not.
This is only happening now to show what dangers arise for society when politicians unreflectively follow the influences of activists. With the new Self-Determination Act, woke, reality-detached politics are being implemented. In official papers, biological sex is replaced by felt gender identity. This can then be changed annually, even for children. Valerie Wilms is convinced: "Now we urgently need to find our way back to fact-based politics. If politicians, especially those in the Green Party, don't understand this, the Federal Constitutional Court must intervene. Otherwise, as in the USA, a fierce anti-woke movement could quickly emerge here in Germany, with all the negative consequences for genuine transsexual people."
