Germany's Blue Wonder

For too long, too many hoped the AfD was just a temporary disruption of German normality. Dismissal and exclusion seemed sufficient to deal with it. But now, widespread fear is emerging, as the rise of right-wing populism and radicalizing right-wing parties is a Europe-wide phenomenon. Combating only internal German causes does little good here.
According to its self-perception, the AfD is an alternative to policies damaging the fatherland, resists an impending dictatorship, could lead Germany to glorious times – and is not too shy to get its hands dirty in the process. From an external perspective, it is a movement of outrage with constitutionally dangerous policy aspirations, which so far refuses to integrate into the state-supporting party system.
What concrete policy recommendations can be given?
