Amaryllis

"Amaryllis" tells the moving biography of Valerie, who grows up in a slightly bohemian family environment and dreams of becoming famous as a great artist and female clown in the male-dominated circus world. She meets her great love, Lorenzo, and attends the renowned Dimitri Circus School with him. Both want to become clowns, and their training shapes them greatly. He achieves a breakthrough into the circus world's Olympus, while she always stands by him as choreographer, manager, and muse. They love and respect each other; their life is cheerful and fulfilling. Nevertheless, Valerie repeatedly feels a certain oppression and sadness regarding her role behind the curtain. In a weak moment, Lorenzo persuades her to perform in his place at the big circus festival in Monte Carlo, with grave consequences.
