Jutta Speidel

For five decades, Jutta Speidel has been an indispensable presence on screen, film, and stage. From her early career, "Drei sind einer zuviel" and "Fleisch" are considered cult films. She can now look back on over 250 films in her career, some of which have won awards. On various major German stages, she has proven her versatility as a character actress. Jutta Speidel's repertoire spans genres; she can simply play anything. Since 1997, her social commitment to the association "Horizont e. V.," which she founded, has been her second mainstay. She has also received numerous awards for this, including the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon, the Bavarian Order of Merit, the Bavarian Constitutional Order, and many more. Jutta Speidel is an honorary citizen of her hometown Munich and also lives there. She has two adult daughters and two grandchildren. She has already written four very successful non-fiction books—two of which were on the Spiegel bestseller list—as well as a gift book and numerous audiobooks. "Amaryllis" is her first novel.
