Amaryllis

"Amaryllis" tells the moving biography of Valerie, who grows up in a slightly bohemian family environment and dreams of becoming famous as a great artist and female clown in the male-dominated circus world. She meets her great love Lorenzo and goes with him to the renowned Dimitri Circus School. Both want to become clowns, and the training shapes them greatly. He achieves a breakthrough into the circus world's elite, while she always supports him as a choreographer, manager, and muse. They love and respect each other; their life is cheerful and fulfilling. Nevertheless, Valerie repeatedly feels a certain oppression and sadness given her role behind the curtain. In a moment of weakness, Lorenzo persuades her to perform in his place at the great Monte Carlo Circus Festival, with grave consequences.
