Ota Filip

Ota Filip (1930-2018) is one of the most important figures in Czech exile literature. He was persecuted as a critic of the regime in the CSSR and came to the Federal Republic of Germany in 1974 after being denaturalized. He worked as a publishing editor and political journalist and finally lived as a freelance writer in Murnau. He received numerous awards for his short stories and novels.
