Space capitalism

After the end of the Apollo project, space travel development stagnated, and the subsequent Shuttle program led into a technological dead end. When the space shuttles stopped flying after 2011, the USA no longer had a manned space transport system. They were now dependent on Russia's support to transport astronauts to the International Space Station. Elon Musk brought about the paradigm shift with his company SpaceX. This book analyzes the weaknesses of state-run ventures and describes the meteoric rise of private sector space travel. In the future, capitalism will be the engine for the further development of space travel. However, without property rights on the Moon, Mars, and asteroids, central economic incentives will remain blocked. With a foreword by Georg Kofler.
