Our Israel no longer exists

The Hamas terrorist attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, claimed over 1,100 lives, including numerous civilians. The consequences are still severe today. Two friends movingly and very personally recount their experiences in Israel and the Palestinian territories in connection with this traumatic attack. The two Middle East experts openly describe their experiences and fears from different perspectives, encouraging each other while also striving to understand the other's point of view. And they paint an unvarnished picture of the crisis region of the Middle East, without the usual black-and-white portrayal. Political analyst and entrepreneur Jenny Havemann lives with her family near Tel Aviv and, as a German-speaking blogger, is repeatedly confronted with open antisemitism. Journalist and war reporter Susanne Glass was head of the studio and chief correspondent at the ARD studio in Tel Aviv, responsible for Israel and the Palestinian territories. She is currently head of the foreign affairs and political background desk at Bayerischer Rundfunk.
