In a Frenzy of Decadence

Are the West's days numbered, has its vitality been exhausted? Europe and North America are, in any case, massively threatened from outside: politically, economically, demographically. The greatest danger, however, lurks within: declining birth rates, a failing education system, consumerism, billionaire socialism, world-saving moralism, infantilism, dwindling willingness to defend itself, de-industrialization, driven by an almost suicidal longing for its own disappearance from history. It is a "woke," anti-Enlightenment brew of ideologies and substitute religions that threatens to lead intoxicatedly into a decadent era.
Will liberal democracies endure? Certainly only by reflecting on the values and principles that once made the West great and enriched the world. If necessary, also by the West becoming an intellectual fortress transatlantically.
