In a Frenzy of Decadence

Are the days of the West numbered, has its vitality been exhausted? Europe and North America are certainly massively threatened from the outside: politically, economically, demographically. The greatest danger, however, lurks within: declining birth rates, educational crisis, consumerism, billionaire socialism, world-saving moralism, infantilism, dwindling willingness to defend, de-industrialization, driven by an almost suicidal yearning for its own disappearance from history. It is a "woke", anti-Enlightenment concoction of ideologies or surrogate religions that threatens to lead us ecstatically into a decadent era.
Will liberal democracies endure? Certainly only by reflecting on the values and principles that once made the West great and enriched the world. If necessary, also by the West becoming an intellectual fortress across the Atlantic.
