Germany is abolishing itself

"Germany Abolishes Itself" sparked a fierce socio-political debate upon its publication in 2010. There were attempts to sensationalize its content, to morally condemn the author, and to ridicule the substantive arguments presented in the book. German politicians implemented little to none of the remedial proposals he made in the book.
The original text from 2010 will, decades from now, still show what could have been recognized if one had wanted to, and what could have been changed if one had found the honesty and strength to do so. It therefore remains unchanged. In this new edition, Thilo Sarrazin's comments and additions are embedded in the original text. This allows the reader to see where there are new facts relevant to the analysis, or where Sarrazin's assessments have changed. In summary, the book's content becomes even more explosive than it was in 2010.
