Farewell Without End

A morning, cold winter light. A man, a single father, enters his 16-year-old son's room and finds him dead in bed. Speechless, he wanders through life from then on, trying to cope with the powerlessness and death. In his narrative, Wolfgang Hermann speaks of the melancholy, the pain and the efforts to retrieve their time together from the past through memory and make it palpable in the present. With his delicate, poetic narrative style, the author conveys comfort even in horror and lets hope shine through.
