About the Author

Katrin Reiser

Katrin Reiser, born in Donaueschingen in 1975, studied history and German language and literature in Bonn. After working in PR agencies in New York, Brussels, and Munich, the historian with a doctorate worked as Head of Communications and political consultant for associations in Berlin. She lives in Berlin with her husband and two sons. This novel tells a fictional story against the backdrop of historical events. Her father, Alfons Reiser, died on June 23, 1986, during a business trip to Leipzig.
