About the Author
Friedrich Pürner (born 1967) completed his Abitur (A-levels) via evening classes after attending secondary school and completing an apprenticeship. He studied law and medicine concurrently before dedicating himself entirely to medicine. After several professional positions, he eventually moved to the Bavarian State Office for Health and Food Safety, where he was a leading infection control physician before becoming head of the Aichach health department in 2018. In November 2020, he was transferred after he had criticized the medical sense of the coronavirus measures. His book on the subject, "Diagnose Pan(ik)demie" (Diagnosis Pan(ic)demic), was published by Langen Müller in 2021.
