Alexander Teske

Alexander Teske has been working as a journalist for 30 years, most recently for six years as an editor at Tagesschau in Hamburg. Before that, he spent 15 years at MDR in Leipzig, where he wrote pieces for Tagesthemen, Brennpunkt, and Brisant, and planned MDR's news broadcasts. He worked both in front of and behind the camera – during floods, at demonstrations, and at party conventions. Teske is also very familiar with commercial television, having reported for Sat.1, Pro.7, and RTL for five years. His career began in print: after a traineeship at Morgenpost, his articles were published by Stern, Focus, Bild, and taz. He has now returned to writing as a freelance author, living in Hamburg.
