Vince Solo

Vinzenz Karl Bachmeier, born in 1968 in Artlhofen near Landshut, infinitely far from the cosmopolitan city of Munich, is a full orphan, a frustrated rock guitarist, an idiot in relationships, and a disgraced former altar boy. Vinz struggles through his late adolescence – essentially always just searching for that one great love. A youth in the 1980s in the heart of the deepest Bavarian province, where church and pub dominate life, and where "Oberlinke," who runs a drug trafficking operation from her farm, is just as much a part of the scene as "Uncle Willi," the reverend who embezzles donations. Do the three wishes that torment Vinz even matter in the end? Has his search for a life worth living made him more mature? We'll see, then we'll know...
