The life confession of the sculptor Serge Mangin. Cultural developments in Europe and Germany from the perspective of the artist and contemporary witness.
Available immediately
Disappointed with his homeland, a young Frenchman from Paris discovered Germany for himself in the 1970s. Serge Mangin had a brilliant career as a sculptor. He portrayed Helmut Kohl, George Bush Sr., Mikhail Gorbachev, and other great personalities. On Crete, the Greek spirit and Greek light became his inspiration. However, he painfully perceives Europe's development in the 21st century as a loss of Western traditions. Serge Mangin paints a panorama of moving memories and sober criticism of the zeitgeist. A captivating book that invites us to view our lives with open eyes and not lose hope, even in times of hardship.
