The Estonian-Swedish ferry Estonia sank in the night of September 27-28, 1994, halfway between Tallinn and Stockholm in a heavy storm. For over eight hundred and fifty people, the ship became a death trap – the biggest catastrophe of its kind in peacetime on the Baltic Sea. To this day, two crucial questions remain unanswered: Why did the Estonia sink? And who wants to prevent overly precise investigations at all costs? Claudius Graf Stackelberg, an eccentric millionaire heir, and his friend Wolf Jacobson stumble upon secret documents by chance.
