This book is not a biography of Joseph Ratzinger, but focuses on his time as Pope (2005-2013). It is rather a kind of anthology of the events that the author accompanied Pope Benedict on during his time as a correspondent in Rome. The result is a varied collection of reports, essays, news, and editorials that reflect Benedict's pontificate, partly in very personal impressions. A contemporary historical document that records why this Pope will go down in history, but also does not conceal the customs of his tenure and the attacks to which this Pope was subjected.
