From peak conqueror to border crosser – Reinhold Messner has summarized his alpine life's work. For this unique text and photo volume, the mountaineer has opened his diaries and selected never-before-published photographic material. It is the culmination of a life of extremes. The superstar of mountaineering and last great adventurer of our time allows us to participate in the small steps that, with admirable consistency, have made him into the person he is today. "All his peaks" are located in his native Dolomites, the Western Alps, in South America, Canada, Africa, New Guinea, and especially in the Himalayas.
