2075 When beauty becomes a crime

The year 2075: The radical equality movement "Movement for Optical Justice" (MOVE) turns against the unequal distribution of beauty. Attractive women supposedly enjoyed undeserved privileges in both professional and private life. Therefore: "Beauty is unjust."
The movement gains increasing influence. Piece by piece, democracy transforms into an equality dictatorship. It begins with higher taxes and professional disadvantages for the beautiful. But finally, the radical wing of the movement prevails: "overly beautiful" women, designated as "Privileged Beauty," must undergo a surgical procedure ("Optical Optimization Therapy") that makes them less attractive.
This leads to individual dramas and despair, but also to determined resistance. The student Alexa, who fears for her sister Alica, and the journalist Riven resist the establishment of the dictatorship. It is a thrilling and timely reckoning with the obsession for equality, in the tradition of novels like "1984" and "Brave New World." And at the same time, a nail-biting thriller about envy, the dark side of beauty, and the dangers of a society that views inequality as a crime.
