About the Author

Ralf Georg Reuth

Dr. Ralf Georg Reuth, born in 1952, studied history, classical archaeology, and German language and literature, and earned his doctorate under the renowned contemporary historian Andreas Hillgruber. In 1984, he joined the politics editorial team of the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and was its Berlin correspondent between 1985 and 1994. Afterwards, he was chief correspondent for Welt am Sonntag and later a member of the editorial board at Bild-Zeitung. Reuth authored bestsellers, primarily about the Nazi era and the division of Germany.
