Frank Schäffler

Frank Schäffler, born in 1968, is a German politician. The business administration graduate was a member of the German Bundestag from 2005 to 2013 and from 2017 to 2025. From 2009 onwards, the financial expert particularly opposed the bailout measures for over-indebted states in Europe during the euro debt crisis, and in 2023, he was considered one of the sharpest critics within the "traffic light" coalition during the debate over the Heating Act. Schäffler is regarded as the FDP's market economy conscience. In 2014, his book "Not with our money! – The Crisis of Our Monetary System and Its Consequences for All of Us" was published.
