Bernhard Wicki
A poignant love story and a unique tribute to one of the great men of the twentieth century
Once his intense gaze caught her unawares, it never relinquished its hold on her … Elizabeth Wicki-Endriss explains her fascination with the extraordinarily talented film director and actor Bernard Wicki. She fell in love with him in 1977 and, after the death of his first wife Agnes Fink and a love triangle that lasted many years and stretched her endurance to its limits, they finally married in 1995. Wicki, a driven man, was never satisfied with himself, let alone the rest of the world. A visionary trailblazer whose films unsettle audiences to this day, he was equally uncompromising in matters of the heart. This is a unique and intimate memoir of a great love.
