Sigrid-Maria Grössing, PhD, studied German and history in Vienna and Salzburg. She worked as a teacher in secondary schools in Germany and Austria and has been a free-lance writer since 1990. She has published more than twenty books so far that have been translated into eight languages altogether and held historical lectures in ten different countries. Sigrid-Maria Größing is married, mother of two grown-up children and lives near Salzburg with her husband.
