Together with her husband, their three-year-old daughter, their eleven-month-old son, and a loveable, but nonetheless headstrong donkey, Christine Hutterer embarked on an adventurous walking tour through Corsica. Blisters on your feet and problems with reading the map are part of any hiking holiday. But what do you do when the donkey refuses to cross bridges, wild bulls lurk by the side of the trail, and the hostel warden is happy to accommodate the donkey, but not the children? In a humorous and charming manner, the author does away with the popular opinion that young families have to give up travels which are out of the ordinary. Christine Hutterer born in 1977, has a PhD in biology and works as a freelance medical and scientifi c journalist. She is a keen sportswoman and lives in Munich, Germany, with her family. For two months during their fi rst parental leave, she and her husband travelled through New Zealand in a camper van with their seven-month-old daughter. During their second period of parental leave, the now family of four went for a walking holiday with a donkey on Corsica.
